COURSE STRUCTURE


The Physiotherapy course is based on a duality between theory and hands-on practice. The theory lectures allow the future physiotherapist to obtain tools for evaluation, therapy and treatment design. The aim of the hands-on lessons is put the theoretical principles into practice in a technical way as well as reproducing real-life situations at a professional level, so as to familiarise the students with the therapeutic and contextual aspects they will encounter when they enter the employment market. Moreover, the degree includes a significant number of clinical placement hours, undertaken in different health and social care structures in order to equip students with an optimal level of professional experience. There is also individual support, created by organising placement groups with a manageable number of students for academic monitoring, in order to guarantee the highest quality. This is in addition to scheduling tutorials and seminar groups to monitor and improve the performance of each student throughout the year.

The Degree is divided into two semesters per year. Each module includes a specific number of credits to be successfully passed by each individual student—there is no requirement to pass a validation or final overall examination at the end of each academic year, unlike some European educational systems.
